About Me

Hi! My name is Madeline, and I’m a budding User Experience Designer based in Houston, TX with a heart for non-profits and a list for everything.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading (check me out on GoodReads or join my book club!), gardening, cooking and baking, film photography, and cuddling with my dog, Hana.

I am passionate about social justice and human rights issues, protecting the environment, and learning something new every day.

Planting Seeds

In 2017, I graduated with a B.S. in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas at Austin and have been navigating digital media ever since. Through various internships, jobs, and volunteer services, I have experience working with and producing live television, radio/audio, film/video, graphic and print design, social media, marketing, and web design.

After discovering a passion for web design, I transitioned into UX design because it is the perfect way to combine creativity with my analytical nature. Currently, I am working as a Director of Communications at a Methodist Church as well as volunteering and freelancing for other non-profits and small businesses.

Skills I'm Nurturing

I believe that learning is never done and perfection can never really be achieved, especially in a field as dynamic as UX design.  These are the skills I’m currently primarily focusing on expanding.
